Media is finding most media items but isn't able to find some/any of my books.
Some books have both a UPC barcode and an ISBN barcode. You want to make sure you are scanning the ISBN barcode. ISBN barcodes are characterized by the letters "ISBN" above the bars and will begin with 978.
How do I add an item to Media that doesn't have a barcode?
If your media item doesn't have a UPC/ISBN barcode, you can add the item by looking the item up by name. To add an item by name in Media, click on the "File" menu option and select "Add By Name". In the Add By Name window, select the type of item you are looking up and enter the title for the item.
How Do I utilize Reports?
Reports make it easy to dynamically filter out your data in Media. Let's say, for instance, that you wanted to see all of the dramas in your database. Click on the "Reports" menu option and select "New Report".
In the New Report window, click on the first field and select "Genre" -- in the second field, select "is" and in the third field, type in Drama (case sensitive). Click the "Save As Report" button and name the list. Now, you have a Report that will automatically filter out a listing of all your dramas -- anytime you add or delete a drama, the Report will automatically be updated.
