IntelliScanner Pro/Corded USB advanced troubleshooting

Your IntelliScanner connects to the USB port on your computer to send barcode information to IntelliScanner Applications. If you have an IntelliScanner Pro, you can also scan into third-party applications.

When IntelliScanner Pro or the Corded USB readers are plugged in, they should beep and the scanner head should illuminate red. If the scanner doesn't beep or illuminate, unplug it and try an alternate USB port.

Press the button on the underside of the scanner, then place the illuminated head of the scanner against the barcode. The scanner will beep and the barcode number will be entered into the program where your cursor is at. If you are having trouble reading a barcode with your IntelliScanner, try moving the head of the scanner up and down over the barcode while pressing the scan button.

When I connect my IntelliScanner, my Mac asks me to setup the keyboard.

When initially connecting IntelliScanner Pro or corded USB scanner to some Macs, you may be prompted to setup a keyboard. Just close this dialog window, no setup is necessary. Your IntelliScanner Pro or Corded USB barcode reader is ready to be used.

How do I reset the custom options on my IntelliScanner Pro to it's default configuration?

If you are working with an IntelliScanner Pro, it would include a programming manual to allow you to set advanced functions within the scanner. Advanced configuration is not possible with the IntelliScanner consumer Corded USB scanners.

To reset your IntelliScanner Pro to it's default configuration, you will need a copy of the Programming Manual that came with your scanner. Open the Programming Manual to section 1 (page 9) then scan the barcode for DEFAULT.
