First, unplug your scanner from the USB cable.

Next, launch the IntelliScanner Dashboard and select Setup New IntelliScanner from the Tools menu.

Finally, the built-in IntelliScanner Setup Assistant is designed to automatically recognize and correct common problems with your scanner, drivers and other software. Follow the on-screen steps to reconfigure your IntelliScanner. Please be sure to follow each step carefully. The Assistant will reconfigure your scanner and software installation to automatically resolve any issues you may be having.

My mini doesn't beep when I try to scan a barcode.

When IntelliScanner mini successfully reads a barcode, it should play a tone and the flashing LED on the scanner should turn solid green. For the best results, hold IntelliScanner mini about 2-4 inches away from the barcode and at a slight angle. If you experience difficulty, try varying the distance and angle.

Double check that the successful scan tone hasn't been toggled off. You can toggle the successful scan tone (beep) for the mini by holding down the large scan button (+) for 10 seconds. The LED will turn orange to indicate that the successful scan tone has been toggled off. To toggle the successful scan tone back on, hold the large scan button (+) down for 10 seconds -- the LED will turn orange and the scanner will beep to indicate that the scan tone has been turned back on.

How do I turn ON/OFF the successful scan tone on my mini?

You can toggle the successful scan tone (beep) for IntelliScanner mini by holding down the large scan button for about 10 seconds. The LED will flash to indicate that the successful scan tone has been toggled off. To toggle the successful scan tone back on, hold the large scan button down for about 10 seconds -- the LED will flash again, and the scanner will beep to indicate that the scan tone has been turned back on.

How do I download barcodes from my IntelliScanner mini?

Plug your IntelliScanner into any USB port. We suggest opening the program you want to download into first -- the scanner will then download into that program. If an IntelliScanner application is not running, Scanner Services will open to notify you of new, downloaded barcodes, and prompt you for where you'd like those barcodes to be sent.

Once you've downloaded your scans, you can leave your IntelliScanner plugged in to charge or for occasional, on-demand scanning.

If connecting your IntelliScanner does not download when you plug it in, the driver may not be running or may need to be reinstalled. Use the IntelliScanner Setup Assistant (from the IntelliScanner Dashboard, select Set Up New IntelliScanner) to reconfigure your scanner.

What does the small square button on my mini do?

IntelliScanner mini's small, square button is used to delete the last number you scanned -- for instance, if you make a mistake and scan an item twice, or scan the wrong item, etc.

Hold down the button, then scan the barcode you want to delete.

Can I charge IntelliScanner mini using another cable or power adapter?

IntelliScanner Corporation only supports charging and downloading data from your IntelliScanner mini using the included cable, connected to your PC or Mac. Connecting the scanner to other devices or charging adapters intended for third-party devices may damage your scanner, and is therefore not advised.
