The information available for each bottle varies, and typically includes the name, varietal, winery, country, type, color, and region. By entering the vintage and peak year, Wine Collector provides a color-coded maturity indicator with a date range based on the differential between the vintage, peak, and current year.
Wine Collector makes it easy to scan your bottles of wine. If a bottle you scan isn't in our database, the software helps you enter it in. The software typically knows the winery, then helps you enter the rest of the details in 3 easy steps -- with an optional self-updating data synchronization system, that bottle can be added to our database for the benefit of others.
The software's database extensively covers wines from around the world found in U.S. and Canadian markets, and also includes wine records for some bottles found in Europe and Australia.
No barcode on a few of your wines? No problem -- just apply an IntelliScanner Asset Tag so you can track it in the system. Every tag is unique, so you'll never mix up bottles later.
