Company Policies IntelliScanner Corporation - an operating division of Apparent Corporation This page lists our various company policies. This section of our web site was created so that our customers understand how we do business, what we do with your information, and how we handle orders. We want your experience with us to be a positive one. It is our intention, as a business, to provide quality products that our customers can confidently recommend to others. We encourage you to contact us if there's questions we can answer about our products, services, or business. We'd be happy to assist you. Privacy Statement We value your business, and respect your right to privacy. Our web site is a safe environment for anyone who visits or purchases from us. We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order, to send you our newsletter and software update notifications, and to use it internally for informational purposes. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your order. In no other way do we share your information with anyone else, for any reason. We maintain an e-mail newsletter for our customers and other interested parties. If you've received an e-mail from us, and you no longer wish to receive such messages, please forward the message in its entirety to info@intelliscanner.com and you will be removed promptly. Payment & Secure Store Shopping at our online store is 100% safe - our secure online order center is protected with secure socket layer (SSL) technology. Your credit card information is encrypted so that it cannot be read by anyone else as it is sent over the Internet. Our network provider and secure host is pair Networks. Under the law, you are not liable for over $50 of unauthorized charges on your card. In the very unlikely event that you are subject to such unauthorized charges, notify your credit card company immediately. If the company holds you accountable for this amount, we will cover the liability for you, up to $50, as long as the unauthorized charges were through no fault of the cardholder while handling a transaction on our secure order pages. We accept credit card payment with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If you order using a credit card, you'll see the name "Apparent Corporation" on your statement, the name of the processing party. We also accept checks, money orders, and purchase orders (see the Purchase Orders link at our online store for instructions). Sales tax applies to purchases originating in North Carolina, United States of America. Local taxes outside the United States are the responsibility of the recipient. Software Licensing By purchasing software on our online store, you are purchasing a license to use that software under the terms of the product's Software License Agreement (this will be displayed upon first launch). You must hold a license for each computer the software will be installed on. Purchasing a Single User License allows you to use the software on a single computer. You may not use a Single User License on more than one machine. Purchasing a Multi-User License (multiple "seats") allows you to use the software on the specified number of computers, regardless of computing platform. Purchasing a Site License allows you to use the software on an unlimited number of computers owned by your organization within a 100-mile radius, regardless of computer platform. IntelliScanner barcode readers include a Single User License for their included software. You must purchase additional licenses if you wish to use the software on multiple machines, with the exception of a user's desktop and laptop where the software is used on only one machine at a time. Hardware & Product Delivery Policies IntelliScanner Corporation sells software, hardware, and products which consist of both software and hardware. Standalone software purchased online is delivered digitally. Refer to the download link on your purchase receipt for activation instructions. If you purchase a hardware product with included software (for example, an IntelliScanner barcode reader), that software can be found in the box only and is not delivered on the Internet. Most hardware products are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx (we automatically pick the most efficient method for your address) unless you've made other arrangements with us. Orders for hardware and other physical goods are processed upon placement of order and are shipped within 1-6 business days, unless otherwise stated on the receipt or order form. Hardware components may be substituted for functionally similar or equivalent hardware at IntelliScanner's discretion, including product color and scan engine changes. When a "guaranteed" service is offered, the maximum liability to Apparent Corporation for a delivery time failure is a refund of the shipping fee. International shipments, along with orders placed on a corporate/educational purchase order, may take an additional 2-4 days to process. If you have specific shipping requirements, please let us know so that we may accommodate you. Return Policies for products purchased through IntelliScanner Corporation If you're having trouble with our products, we encourage you to contact us. We take pride in the products we sell, and we want you to be happy with them. If you have questions, please ask -- we're always happy to help! Apparent Corporation / IntelliScanner Corporation carries a 30-day same product exchange policy for defective hardware products. Unopened IntelliScanner packages (the package that the scanner is shipped in) may be returned with no restocking fee within 10 days of receipt. Please contact our technical support department to request an authorization number (RMA). All other sales are final. No product returns or exchanges will be accepted without an IntelliScanner Corporation issued authorization number (RMA) -- shipments without an authorization number printed clearly on the address label will be refused. Please ship your product via a method that provides a tracking number and a signature upon delivery. If an Apparent Corporation representative does not sign accepting receipt of a package, Apparent Corporation accepts no liability for your package or any lost product. If you send a purchased product to Apparent Corporation without following these guidelines, Apparent Corporation retains the sole right to refuse delivery of such return or deny credit. With the exception of the defective unit exchange and unopened package (within 10 days) return policies stated above, all sales are final. Repair & Product Warranty Policies Most IntelliScanner hardware components carry a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. Refer to the information in the box or just ask us if you need assistance locating this information. If your hardware is in need of warranty service, please contact our support department for assistance. If a mail-in repair is necessary, we'll provide a specific address and authorization number (RMA) for the product to be mailed in. Please note, no repairs or warranty requests will be accepted IntelliScanner Corporation issued authorization number (RMA) -- shipments without an authorization number printed clearly on the address label will be refused. Please ship your product via a method that provides a tracking number and a signature upon delivery. If an Apparent Corporation representative does not sign accepting receipt of a package, Apparent Corporation accepts no liability for your package or any lost product. |
